VTD's First Giveaway!

It seems that there is something in common with those super popular blogs that everybody reads (Seriously So Blessed, The Pioneer Woman, Word To Your Mother, etc...) and that something is...a fabulous GIVEAWAY! So to rocket myself to blog superstardom I'm going to do the same.

In honor of the first snow of the year, the prize is going to be a pair of these ultra warm, extra comfortable, massively reinforced Snap-On Tools socks. Now you may think that you don't need another pair of socks and therefore not enter this contest, but I'm here to tell you that these socks are unlike any that you've ever owned before. So don't miss out on this rare opportunity.

All that you have to do is answer these simple questions in the comments section:
  1. Have you ever slept naked on a hammock?
  2. If a celebrity were to influence your political decisions, who would it be?
  3. Which post on this blog has led you to greater enlightenment and therefore a grander and more fulfilling life?

The person with the most correct answers will receive this coveted prize. Anonymous comments welcome. I could arrange a drop off at a local Cafe Rio or Arby's or something. But if you are to go that route I must warn you that I am a ninja and your identity will be discovered.

Tissy! This is a family blog, you scandalous woman! I love your stinkin' guts. But I did remove your comment for propriety. Your comment has been noted and safely stored in a super secret file on my computer.

Judging from the overwhelming response that this giveaway has received, I would say that you have an excellent chance at winning.

I gotta win those socks! They look so warm and cozy!
My answers:

1. No, I have never slept naked on a hammock. I know what kind of marks they leave on you when you have clothes on!

2. If I allowed a celebrity to influence me politically it would definately be Tom Hanks. He doesn't "go with the flow", he is level headed, and maybe I should vote for him!

3. The post on this blog that has led me to greater enlightenment would definately have to be the blogs on the rooster. I had no idea that roosters could be such pests and that they made rooster size body bags! Thanks for the info.
I hope I win the socks!!!

P.S. Don't get a rooster for a pet!

Oh! I don't think you understand the anxiety that this giveaway causes me! I want these socks so bad! Only a mechanics daughter would know about Snap-on SOCKS. I didn't know that such a wonderful thing exsisted!

1.) I can honestly say that I've never even layed down on a hammock... They make me nervous... I feel motion sick just thinking about sitting on one...

2.) Celebrities influencing my political decisions? I don't think so! I cannot be swayed! Err..right...

3.) The post where you suggested throwing water balloons at passing cars (and I also apply that to people that are causing my bad day) was definitely a solution for a lot of my problems. I vote for that one.

1. Have you ever slept naked on a hammock? No - but if I were in a hammock naked -- why would I be sleeping?
2. If a celebrity were to influence your political decisions, who would it be? Chuck Norris - he kicks butt
3. Which post on this blog has led you to greater enlightenment and therefore a grander and more fulfilling life? August 26th - that ADORABLE picture of that cute girl dressed as a pilgrim

1. HA! Only you would come up with this question. Is yes the correct answer? I'm figuring that it is.

2. Tina Fey is doing an excellent job of influencing me away from the McCain/Palin duo. I think Fey and Palin are the same person.

3. I can recall two posts that stuck out to me because of their incredibly random content. The Product of Massive Boredom and The Truth Is, I Am Iron Man. They just made me enjoy you more.

I can't tell you how much I want those socks. I've owned a pair before and they indeed are superior to all other socks.

wow, so glad you left me a comment because now I know I have been missing out!
1) not on a hammock . . . but if you recommend it I can add it to my 100 things to do in my life list.
2) normally I would say no but I had this little run-in with Leo (DiCaprio) on the street once after he climbed out of his Prius at a movie premier and then he put together this fantastic Don't Vote video - in his house - and so maybe, I'd let him influence my political decisions. But only in person. On a date.
3) this is my first time on your blog and I'm already laughing at the Bwaahahaha post with the creepy cat.

1- NO, but sounds interesting. And I would do it if the price was right.

2-I would have to agree with Chuck Norris. Because there is nothing to fear but Chuck himself.

Hey you funny girl - I read this post the first day you put it up but didn't have time to write my answers right away (and sad to say that a few people have stolen my answers). HOWEVER, I believe that I can be clever enough to come up with my OWN answers (hmm, we'll see about that).

1. Honestly, no. However there are a LOT of other things to do on a hammock while you're naked and I think if it ever came to that, I wouldn't be sleeping (wink wink)

2. Celebrities make me SO angry duing election time. I wish I was a celebrity so I could push MY agenda. However, if I WERE to be influenced by one it would HAVE to agree with the people above...CHUCK NORRIS! (Do you think we could somehow convince him to run for president? NORRIS in 2012!)

3. My favorite post by far was the extreme makeover post of Super's little tank. It brought a tear to my eye and it for sure tugged on my heartstrings. Who knew a little fish could cause so much emotion in a matter of a few moments! I LOVE YOU SUPER!

P.S. You mentioned this is the FIRST giveaway - can I expect MORE!? I'm giddy inside just thinking of what will be next!

I so want those socks. My feet are always cold in the winter this may be the solution I have been looking for.

1. I have slept on a hammock before but unfortunetly I was fully dressed.

2. I would not normally let a celebrity influence my vote but Tina Fey aka Sarah Palin is doing a good job at it. I just won't disclose which direction.

3. As far as favorite posts go there are so many that I like. I really like the Homer Simpson one and the "Not Voting is Easy" clip but my favorite post is this contest. I look forward to many more.
